2.8 Daily Live Learning (Colorado)

To make it easy for your student to connect with teachers and classmates while meeting Colorado's live learning requirements (90 hours of live instruction per semester), OpenEd offers Daily Live Learning.

What that means: Every weekday from 11 AM - 12 PM MT, your student is welcome to join a meeting link offering engaging, interactive learning opportunities.

Schedule

Begins: Monday, August 17th

Days: Monday-Friday

Time: 11 AM-12 PM (Mountain Time)

Students will use one recurring meeting link throughout the year.

Before the first day of the program (August 17th), the meeting link and info on how to join this daily session will appear in your student's Library in your OpenEd platform.

What to Expect

Each live session begins with a 15-20 minute whole-group gathering, which might include:

  • Welcome & announcements
  • Icebreakers
  • Daily questions
  • Brain breaks
  • Mini lessons
  • Introduction to the day's activities

Students then transition into grade-level breakout rooms (K-5 or 6-12) for interactive learning.

On select days, an optional Study Hall/Homework Help room may also be available.
