3.1 Different Ways To Use Your Funds (Colorado)
Through the OpenEd platform, there are two different ways to make the most of the $1,750 in available funds that are provided to all full-year OpenEd students in Colorado.
Marketplace Purchases
OpenEd's marketplace offers a wide range of resources from the curriculum providers that you know and love. To access the marketplace, click on the Marketplace option from the lefthand menu in the OpenEd platform.
Every listing in the marketplace is individually priced, letting you mix and match to build a curriculum that's just right for your student. As long as what you're purchasing supports a subject on your student's education plan, you're good to go.
Orders are funded directly from your OpenEd wallet, meaning that you don't have to wait to be reimbursed. On the checkout screen, you'll be able to see exactly how many funds you have remaining – along with how much your purchase will deduct.
For a more detailed look at our marketplace, check out 3.2 Marketplace Overview.
Direct Orders
To supplement your student's education, you can place orders for materials through Amazon or Rainbow Resource.
From the lefthand menu in the OpenEd platform, click on the option labeled Amazon or Rainbow Resource from the Direct Orders section.
A new window will open that will let you add and purchase your items just as if you visited those websites on your own.
The cost of your orders will be taken from your OpenEd wallet, and your items will be shipped directly to your home.
