Every week, your student is invited to join Flex Fridays - a virtual gathering where OpenEd learners come together to join breakout rooms packed with different activities.
This fun, community-focused space is a great way for your student to connect with others who share their interests.
Past breakout room topics include:
- Minecraft
- LEGOs
- Storytime
- Young Entrepreneurs Show & Tell
- Watercolors
- Disney Trivia
- Favorite Books
- ...And many more!
Note: Flex Fridays are led by OpenEd's passionate and supportive Community team.
Your student's homeroom teacher might join the fun, but they won't be the person leading the activities.
How To Join
To sign up for a Flex Friday gathering, head over to the Marketplace menu option in the OpenEd platform.
Using the search bar, type in Flex Friday. That'll pull up all of our upcoming dates.
Click on a date to view the breakout room topics.
If your student wants to join, add the event to your cart and check out. (All of our Community events are free - this is just how you sign up.)
After our team confirms your attendance, the details will show up as a tile in your Library.

We'll send you a reminder email with the link to join, too.
Important: Your student will need to individually sign up for each Flex Friday that they want to join! This helps us accurately track attendance.
