Does your student need some additional support? We're here to help!
Tutoring Support for OpenEd Students
OpenEd is committed to helping students feel supported, confident, and successful in their learning. During the school year, families have access to several live support options designed to meet different student needs.
Tutoring options are available through the marketplace menu option in your platform.
After clicking on your marketplace, filter your results by Live Support to view our tutoring options.
Some supports are available to all students, while others are designed for students with specific academic goals or identified needs. Families are encouraged to participate in the support option that best fits their student’s current learning needs.
1. Daily Learning Labs
Offered twice daily from Monday-Thursday; morning and afternoon options available.
Daily Learning Labs are free, unlimited live support sessions available to students who might benefit from extra help during the week. They're designed to be flexible and easy to access.
Best for students who:
- Have quick questions
- Need help getting unstuck
- Want extra practice
- Benefit from live interaction and encouragement
2. Learning PODS
Learning PODS are targeted live support sessions created around specific skills, grade levels, or state testing needs.
These sessions are designed to help students strengthen important academic skills in a small-group setting.
Best for students who:
-
Need support with a specific academic skill
-
Are preparing for an assessment
-
Were recommended for targeted support
- Benefit from small-group instruction and guided practice
3. Individual Tutoring
- Would like consistent one-on-one support
- Benefit from individualized instruction
- Need help with a specific subject or course
- Would like ongoing academic coaching or accountability
Additional Support Through Student Success
Some students may need additional support beyond the options listed above. When a student is experiencing significant academic barriers or is identified through OpenEd’s MTSS process, the Student Success team may recommend a more structured intervention plan.
This support is provided on an as-needed basis and may include short-term, individualized support sessions, targeted goals, progress monitoring, and a written plan to help guide next steps.
Families do not need to request this support through the marketplace. If this level of support is recommended, the Student Success team will communicate directly with the family and explain the next steps. Feel free to submit your concern about a student directly to the Student Success team.
Choosing the Right Support
Families are encouraged to choose the support option that best matches their student’s needs:
- Daily Learning Labs are best for flexible, drop-in help.
- Learning PODS are best for targeted skill practice or assessment preparation.
- Individual Tutoring is best for personalized, ongoing one-on-one support.
- Additional support may be recommended by the Student Success team when a student needs more structured intervention.
Our goal is to help every student access the right level of support at the right time.
