ATLAS screens Arkansas students in grades K-3 to evaluate their readiness to tackle grade-level work. 

These screeners also help students prepare for the end-of-year summative assessment.

Q: Which students need to take the ATLAS Math & Literacy screener? 

A: Arkansas students in grades K-3 will need to take this screener.  

Q: When will this screener be administered? 

A: Students in grades K-2 will take this screener two times a year: in the Fall and Winter.

Students in third grade will only need to take this screener once a year, in the Fall.

Q: Is this screener virtual or in-person? 

A: This screener is administered in-person. 

Q: How do I schedule this screener?

Q: What should my student expect during the screener? How long will it take?

A: Each session takes around thirty minutes.

A proctor will meet you on-site; they'll bring the device that your student will use during the screener. 

Parents can sit outside of the testing room until their student is done. 

Q: Can I opt my student out of this screener?

A: No, OpenEd students unfortunately can't opt out of this screener.
