Q: Which students need to take the ILEARN Summative Assessment?
A: All Indiana students in grades 3-8 will take the ILEARN Summative Assessment for ELA and math.
For grades 4 and 6, this assessment will include science.
For fifth graders, this assessment will include social studies.
Q: When will this assessment be administered?
A: The ILEARN Summative Assessment will be administered once in the Spring.
Q: Is this assessment virtual or in-person?
A: This assessment is administered in-person.
Q: How do I schedule this assessment?
A: Scheduling will be available directly through the Assessments tab of your OpenEd platform.
Q: What should my student expect during the assessment? How long will it take?
A: The ELA and math portions of the ILEARN Summative Assessment take about 2-3 hours each.
The science and social studies portions of the ILEARN Summative Assessment take about 1-2 hours each.
Q: What are the technology requirements for this assessment? What devices can my student use?
A: A laptop will be provided to your student when they arrive at the testing site. This laptop will already be set up with everything they need to take the assessment.
Q: What is the participation expectation for this assessment?
A: OpenEd students are required to participate in the ILEARN summative assessments.
